Modern Equipment
Two floors of championship-grade racks, calibrated plates and Technogym-class ergs — replaced on a rolling three-year cycle, never run into the ground.
Downtown Austin · Est. 2009
A members-only strength and conditioning club where forty coaches, championship-grade equipment and recovery science exist for exactly one reason — to make you measurably better.
Equipment & performance partners
Our standard
Apex began in 2009 as a 900 sq ft powerlifting room above a bike shop. Seventeen years later the equipment changed, the standard didn't: assess first, program second, and never let a member train without a coach who knows their history.
Every programme decision traces back to a screen, a scan or a number on the bar. If the data says change it, we change it.
Equipment is table stakes. What members pay for is forty coaches who notice the third rep before it goes wrong.
Immaculate floors at 4am, plates racked by weight, towels stocked. Detail is the culture, not the housekeeping.
National-platform lifters and first-week beginners train in the same room, on the same standard of respect.

Why Apex
Everything here is engineered around one question: will this make our members measurably stronger, healthier and harder to break?
Two floors of championship-grade racks, calibrated plates and Technogym-class ergs — replaced on a rolling three-year cycle, never run into the ground.
Forty coaches with national-platform, professional-sport and clinical backgrounds. Every one of them still trains on this floor.
Registered dietitians on staff, not an app subscription. Plans built around how you actually eat, reviewed against monthly scans.
Contrast plunge, infrared sauna, compression therapy and a physio-led mobility studio — because adaptation happens after the session.
Keycard entry at any hour with staffed coaching from 5am. Train at 4am or 11pm and the floor is still immaculate.
No templates. Your block is written from your screen, your scan and your calendar, then rewritten every twelve weeks against real data.
Programs
Nine coached disciplines, each with a defined progression path. Start anywhere — your coach maps the rest.
The facility
Four floors, each built around a single job — move heavy, move fast, move well, then recover properly.
Floor One
Twelve competition racks, four platforms with calibrated plates, and a dedicated mono-lift bay. Rubber-bonded flooring rated to withstand a 300kg drop, and enough space between stations that nobody trains in someone else's shadow.
Floor One
A 40-metre turf runway for sleds, carries and sprint work, wrapped by rigs, kettlebells to 48kg and a throwing wall. This is where capacity gets built for the life outside the building.
Floor Two
Contrast plunge pools, a six-person infrared sauna, compression therapy chairs and a physio-led mobility studio. Booked in the member app, supervised by our clinical team, open daily until 22:00.
Floor Two
Hotel-standard changing rooms with individual timber lockers, rainfall showers, fresh towels on demand and a grooming bar. Come straight from the office, leave ready for the rest of the day.
Ground Floor
A full kitchen run by our nutrition team — cold-pressed juice, single-origin espresso and macro-labelled plates designed to be eaten in the twenty minutes after you rack the last bar.
Timetable
Sixty coached sessions a week. Reserve your spot in the member app up to seven days ahead.
The coaches
Olympic lifters, physiotherapists, sports scientists and former pros. Every coach on this floor holds a national-level credential.
Head of Strength
Former collegiate strength coach turned barbell specialist. Marcus has taken 40+ lifters to national platforms and writes every powerlifting block in the club.
Performance Nutritionist
Registered dietitian who spent six seasons with a professional cycling team. Elena builds the fuelling plans behind every transformation on our wall.
Conditioning Lead
Ex-400m sprinter who now designs our HIIT and engine work. If your conditioning has stalled, Darius will find the gap in under two sessions.
Transformations
Drag each image to compare. Real members, published with permission, no retouching.

Member stories
Five thousand members, an average tenure of four years, and a 4.9 rating across 1,200+ reviews.
“I'd written myself off as someone who just doesn't do gyms. Two years later I deadlift double bodyweight and I'm the one dragging friends in on a Saturday. The coaching is the difference — nobody here lets you drift.”
“Calibrated plates, competition bars and a coach who reads bar speed better than my old federation judges. Apex took 40 kilos off my total's ceiling in a single prep cycle.”
“The recovery suite is what sold me and the programming is what kept me. I've run four marathons out of this building and haven't lost a week to injury since I joined.”
“Elena rebuilt how I eat without ever handing me a meal plan I'd hate by week three. The scans made it undeniable — I could see it working before I could feel it.”
“Sofia built me a return-to-training plan that respected my body instead of ignoring it. Nine months on I'm stronger than I was before my daughter was born.”
